It's quite the rollercoaster of inflation at the moment. With rents and certain bills still going up this year. As a business we have to charge to keep up with these times.
I realize some people are suffering more than other.
With colors one of the supplies that keep increasing to buy for many reasons. Instead of waiting longer and giving into roots you can have a t section tint. This works well if you have a one length and longer layered style. We would suggest only doing this once in between a full head roots so the regrow the doesn't get too long , which could then end up costing more. (time and product)
As tempting as it is to do home colors be very careful, they are not individually mix for your hair using professional products. They could work great they could end up costing you a lot more money and sometimes a few visits to correct the outcome.
Make sure you use a good color saving shampoo and protecting your hair from the sun this will keep the color longer.
With hi lights you can do the same and have a t section which is only a few round the front and along the parting . This is not a partial or half head . Again this only works well with one length cuts or longer layers.
We would suggest this only once in between half heads or full heads as roots that get too long will be harder to lift and result in more product and time.
Try balayage this gives a grow out sun lightening look with only a few strands going to the root. Due to the contrast of blonde ( or what ever color you do) to the natural color let's you grow it out for longer. This will cost more money to have done due to the time and skill needed, but does last long in as much as you don't get any harsh lines.
A toner in between can refresh the color/blondes keeping a better tone for longer.
If you get a perm get a trim around the 6 week mark, this removes corners/weight from the hair which drags the perm down. A trim will give the perm extra lift and life, giving it a longer life span.
Keratin is more expensive to get done, but keeps the hair frizz free during the humid weather. This can keep the hair long sleek and shinny without those long blow outs .
Keratin must be use with good shampoos and salt/chlorine free ,swimming will dramatically reduce the time keratin lasts so no swimming or at least wear a hat/swimming cap.
Maintain care of your hair, reducing heating tools use, use good shampoos never cost cut on shampoos. Use oils, conditioners and protecting products, will save you from split ends too soon.
Try not to leave split ends , you could end up haveing more off then you want if you leave these too long .
You could push a 4 week cut to 5/6 with better care and getting those split ends off.
Depending on your style.
Sometimes when you cut out other nice things from your life, a relaxing wash a little chat and a fabulous blow out is worth it.
A good precise cut with someone who understands how the hair grows and falls and builds weight , A cut that is designed to work when you do it at home and not just looks good when you leave. A cut that lifts you up and makes you feel wonderful is worth every penny and will last longer than one done quicker with less skill and thought. Plus be careful of having to have it redone again by someone else.
Healthy hair will firstly come from a healthy diet/ life style
