French inspired Balayage,Ombré and Cuts

Balayage first started in the 1970s in Paris where the word meant sweeping. The French Balayage is a very classic beautiful look. Both subtle, sun kissed and sophisticated. The sweeping of the lightener is a delicate movement going down the hair strand never up or pressed into the hair.Just gently sitting on the surface. No foils or mech are used only plastic wrap and cotton wool if needed. Balayage can be 3D can and should be
tailored to every person's hair . All these little important techniques make this different to hand painting . Its an art it’s special to each hair style. When done properly it grows out seamlessly so lasts longer then the heavier hand painting Balayage which is often used for more contrasting looks or bolder colors.
French Ombre' means shade or shadow. A classic color melt of just one to three shades difference. . An interesting, beautiful look that should look like the sun has sun kissed/bleached the mid to ends of the hair. The colors work with your natural color and tones. This again because there isn't such a strong contrast will last longer during grow out.
A french cut . Some people in France call it a London cut. London and US call it a French cut. It reminds you of the women in Paris who look beautiful without trying. It's a technique of helping soften and bring out the features others try to hide. It looks at face shape and body shape. Most of all it is a hair style that suites your hair so the hair never looks 'done' just a natural sophisticated sometimes slightly messy style. You haven't tried to hard look. Its almost a wash and wear look. Of course you can style it in a very done just left the salon look if you wish. French women just alway look great that causal soft elegant it just happens look.
I was trained in London and so l grew up doing the French balayage, Ombre and my cutting styling has been a mixture of both with a lot of the French way inspired. l have often slightly messed the hair up a little and steered away from solid looks (unless that is required) to give it a natural look. We do all sorts of coloring and lightening at Cavallo Hair Designers often using balayage ,ombre' and traditional foils to create just one look. We have inspired stylists who's techniques are from many countries and cities. It's a great place to work and learn from .
